The New “Old” Batmobile
As you see, the pictures are dimly-lit, probably on purpose. However, it’s not that hard to guess the general design of Batman’s new ride. That new ride looks like the Batmobile from the Adam West-era Batman TV series, which were aired between 1960 and 1970. The hood is clearly vented, and the engine appears exposed in the rear.
Thoughts About the Original Vehicle
What we know about the movie so far is that it’s set pretty early in Batman’s career. This automatically means the time before Bruce Wayne had all that specialized gear and vehicles. Instead, he was just a man with a fit body and a sharp mind.
So, having that in mind, it kind of makes sense for him to be re-building one of his father’s vintage cars. Or a few of them.
The truth is that the front looks like two heavily modified vehicles.
The large cutout in the hood suggests that it was there with the original vehicle. This implies something like a Camaro ZL1.
The hood cutout has a unique shape. However, the one in the upcoming The Batman is rectangular — something like the Camaro’s 2012 version.
So, wherever the inspiration came from, the hood is not stock and has been modified for no apparent reason. The engine is rear-mounted, which would make driving in rain or snow a nightmare. However, the point is that the front of the car seems to have no purpose.
Other Hints From The Batman’s Car
It seems like a V8 engine has wholly replaced the boot. Also, the rear lights are custom, as well as the rear fenders. This means that the entire body might be customized.
As for the interior, there’s only this picture:
Director Matt Reeves seems to know how to tease people. None of the hints got us anywhere, so we’ll have to wait and watch The Batman and see what this car is capable of.
