American Murder: The Family Next Door is one of the latest documentaries on Netflix, and it’s one of those true crime stories that has viewers obsessed. The documentary is a Netflix Original, and it has dominated the streaming service’s Top 10 feature in a way that no other documentary has managed to do in 2020. It’s also possible for American Murder to become the most viral documentary to ever be released on Netflix.

The Latest Netflix Documentary

The documentary American Murder became the ninth movie in 2020 to spend seven straight days on the Daily Top 10 charts. If Adam Sandler’s Hubie Halloween movie hadn’t come out on October 7th, the streak would have lasted longer for American Murder. Even so, the documentary went on to spend four days in second place, behind Hubie Halloween. If it wasn’t for Hubie Halloween, American Murder would have been the third movie to ever be in first place for 11 consecutive days and the first-ever documentary to make it happen.

Ever since the documentary moved from first to second place on October 7th, American Murder spent a total of five days in second place and then three days in third place. The documentary had a 15-day streak in the top three positions, which is something that no other documentary on Netflix has come close to this year.
