Soon after the news about his bad luck and how no one attended his party spread worldwide, which led to the shelter getting a ton of mail from the fans of the dog. The admirers of Luke sent him toys, love notes, donations, and even letters saying they want to give the dog a home. A Family to the Rescue Karl and Jill Kendrick were among the many who wanted to adopt Luke after they found out the rescue dog was stood up at his Valentine’s day adoption party. The shelter thought that this couple and their two daughters would make the perfect home for Luke. The pup left the shelter 225 days after he got there and moved in with the Kendrick family to see if they were the right fit. Some weeks later, he was fully adjusted to his new life outside of a kennel with his new loving family. Luke Is So Loved in His New Home Karl Kendrick later commented that it’s a mystery to them how Luke has not been adopted sooner since he was a perfect dog. He has settled in very quickly and his new owners have fallen deeply in love with him. The family also stated they are really happy they are able to provide a forever home for Luke and that he will never spend Valentine’s day alone ever again. Later, Battersea Brands Hatch shelter shared in its release that Luke has found his favorite places to nap in his new home and the fact he has his own duvet. In the end, it turned out to be one love story with a happy ending!
