There have been many memorable players in the National Hockey League. Two of the greatest goal scorers in the NHL — Alexander Ovechkin and Wayne Gretzky — are now going to battle against each other on April 22nd. They will be competing in an NHL 20 tournament.

Alex Ovechkin plays for The Capitals of Washington, DC. They will host the three-game tournament via their Twitch stream, starting at 8 P.M. ET on April 22nd.
Wayne Gretzky is a retired Canadian hockey player that is looking forward to the tournament. Gretzky mentions that this kind of venture is new for him, and it is likely to be new for Alex. Despite this, he says that it will indeed be fun.
The NHL is one of the most recent sports leagues to start live streaming video games for fans. The NBA also held a 2K tournament that featured some of the top basketball stars in the league. The MLB is also hosting a similar league called MLB The Show, which features a handful of professional athletes as well.

Wayne Gretzky is the top goal scorer of all time in the NHL, with 894 scored goals in his career. His first full season was in 1979 to 1980 when he played for the Edmonton Oilers. In the following two decades, he dominated the sport of hockey and set numerous league records. After his retirement in 1999, he was included in the Hall of Fame that very year.
Alex Ovechkin comes in at number eight when it comes to all-time goals, scoring 706 of them. He is a Russian hockey player who has won the Hart Memorial Trophy a total of three times — in 2008, 2009, and 2013 — becoming the most valuable player in the NHL. He also led the Washington Capitals to win their first-ever Stanley Cup Championship back in 2018.
