In the world of basketball, the Ball family has certainly made their mark. This reign started with LaVar Ball, and his three sons have since made their way into the sport themselves, and they’re now all forging their own path within the NBA. Out of all of them, though, there’s no doubt about the fact that people want to know more about Lonzo Ball. He’s off to an impressive start within his professional career, but that doesn’t mean that it has been easy for him.
The Path for Him
As well as having a professional basketball star as a father, Lonzo Ball’s mother also used to play ball. Because of this, there was no doubt about the fact that this was the right path for him – and he soon proved this to the world with his impressive role as point guard. As a star within the New Orleans Pelicans team, he has amassed fans across the world who have all marveled at the 22-year-old’s talent. However, he has only been within the NBA ranks for a few years, which means that he still really is only a rookie.
The Big Leagues
The NBA is regarded as the big league of basketball, and while some people dream of life within this world, there are others who find it more difficult. It seems as though Lonzo is one of those people, as he has outwardly spoken out about the pressure and the commitment to this life. During an interview on The JJ Redick Podcast, Lonzo noted that “the hardest adjustment [to the NBA] is the schedule, really. People don’t understand how many games you play in the league.” He noted that he spends his days “just playing and flying, playing and flying,” and he confessed that it was a tough adjustment to get used to.
Despite the fact that Lonzo has struggled, it doesn’t seem to have affected his game.
