Newborn Twins Coincidentally Share the Names of Their Delivery Nurses

Childbirth is always a special process for the mother, and the joy is only doubled when something unexpectedly amazing happens! Recently, new mother Lauren Meehan experienced one such special moment. She found out that her twin baby girls and the two nurses in charge of her delivery were going to share the same names!

A Big Coincidence

At the Rose Medical Center in Colorado, a delivery team was preparing Lauren Meehan for her childbirth. When they asked Meehan if she’d picked any names for her twin daughters, she informed them that she thought the names Julia and Emma would be perfect. When everyone in the room broke out in laughter, Meehan inquired as to why and was shocked when she found out that the two nurses, who would be taking care of her girls, were also named Julia and Emma! Meehan said, at that very moment she understood that the names were destined for her twin girls.

The Names

There’s a lot in a name! As per the Social Security Administration, the name Emma ranked no. 1 in popularity from 2014 to 2018. It fell to no. 2 from 2019 to 2021. While in 2021, Julia was ranked the 114th most popular name for baby girls. So it’s highly possible that Meehan’s babies Emma and Julia are going to meet many of their namesakes while growing up. Meehan expressed her deep gratitude to the two nurses and the entire medical team for making her childbirth experience comfortable and special. She had also welcomed her first child in the same medical center and received excellent care from the doctor and the nurses. As Meehan said, this time, the whole experience became extra special because of the names of nurses, whom she would remember forever. And there’s no doubt that the twin girls will hear about this fun story, one day, from their mother!
