The Fantasy World of The Witcher
This popular Netflix show is based on a series of books written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The story follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter for hire. Throughout the first series, viewers can enjoy numerous adventures that our protagonist and other notable characters go through, as well as time jumps that are meant to shed light on their backstories.
Geralt struggles to truly find his place in the world, often not being certain if the real beasts are the monsters he hunts or the people who pay him to do so. The fantasy series is riddled with daring sword fights, magic, romance, and a compelling plot.
Henry Cavill’s Injury
The Witcher is being filmed at Arborfield Studios in London. As reported by the UK’s “The Sun”, Henry Cavill injured his leg during filming on an assault course. He was at the height of around 20 feet and wearing a safety harness at the time. While he’s recovering from his leg muscle injury, the filming will go on without Cavill focusing on scenes that won’t directly involve Geralt.
This isn’t the first time that the production was halted. Due to current world health events, the filming was shut down temporarily in March 2020 and the pause stretched until mid-August. The second break was made in November. However, the show must go on, and the crew is persistent to stay on track and produce the second season.
